Principal’s Pen: September 18-22
Good Morning:
Thank you to all who helped to make Homecoming 2017 a successful one. We had many students participating in the daily events, dress up days, pep rally and dance. As a result of all those who did participate the Class of 2018 narrowly won the coveted spirit stick.
As we move into our third week of school it is hard to believe that we are almost half way through the first quarter. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for October 4th (3:00-6:30) and 5th (5:00-8:00). You may sign up for conferences by going to the home page of the guidance department, clicking on Information and Events. There you will find a link that will allow you to schedule your own conferences. The registration link will be open on Monday, September 25th at 8:00 am. Should you run into any issues please contact Darcy York at 465-4989, ext. 4519.
We have had some reports of people having trouble accessing the Parent Portal in Power School. If you are one of those people please reach out to us at your convenience and we will try to help you gain access. If you forgot your portal log-in information we will be happy to reprint the letter that contains that information and mail it to you.
There are several students here at the high school who have expressed an interest in raising money for those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. In the next week or so they will begin their efforts with a bake sale, coin drive, and other events with the goal of trying to raise $1,000.00. All money collected will be donated to the Red Cross Relief Fund.
