Good Morning:

Eagle Pride has filled the hallways this morning. The colors red, white and blue are prevalent in every nook and cranny of the building. One difference I noticed as I walked the halls early this morning were the messages of positivity and respect. The freshmen continue to promote, Kindness Matters, while the sophomore super heroes spread the word that bullying and hate have no place here at MHS. The seniors posted 19 Lessons from the Ocean (their theme is Sea You Later) ranging from “Seas every opportunity” to “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”. The teams are well represented with their walls of fame thanks in part to the parents and student athletes who were in yesterday decorating the main floor. This is an exciting week and I hope you have an opportunity to take in one of the activities and/or games. Below you will find a complete list of activities for the week.

If you haven’t already sent back all the forms that were sent home with your student at the beginning of school year we ask that you take a few minutes to complete them and send them in to us. Double check the information on the emergency cards to make sure that we have all the correct information recorded.

Many students forgot that today was picture day so we have scheduled a make-up date for November 6th. There are still packets available for purchasing purchases. They can be filled out and brought in on the make-up date.

I would like to publicly thank Colby College for letting us use their football field for our home games. Their generosity is very much appreciated. I hope that many of you will be able to be in attendance at this Friday’s game. Today the Golf team will be heading to Skowhegan for a match. On Tuesday Field Hockey will be taking on Skowhegan at Thomas College beginning at 4:15 while the Boy’s Soccer team will be hosting Oxford Hills at 3:30. The Volleyball team will be hosting their first home game against Cony at 4:00. On Wednesday we have the jv golf team taking on Cony while the varsity team will be playing at Pine Ridge against Bangor. Thursday has the Girl’s Soccer team hosting Edward Little, the freshmen Football team heading to Bangor and Field Hockey will be playing Cony down in Augusta. And finally, on Friday afternoon the Boy’s Soccer team will be playing Edward Little beginning at 3:30 and we close out the week with the Football team taking on Brunswick. As you can see our student athletes are quite busy this week.

Enjoy the week!

Paula
