Good Morning:

If you’re looking for something to do this Sunday I would invite you to attend the Holiday Concert at the high school beginning at 3:00 pm. Our band and chorus students have been hard at work preparing a very special and unique concert for your listening pleasure. Having had the pleasure of listening to them rehearse the other day I can guarantee that you will not walk away disappointed.

Our winter sports teams are in full swing. The hockey team is to be admired for the early morning practices that they have been attending. It takes a lot of self discipline to be able to get up at the crack of dawn, practice, and then put in a full day of school. The cheerleading squad has also been working out early in the morning doing strength training for their lifts and throws in preparation for their competitions. Both the boys and girls basketball teams will be playing this evening. Boys will be at home against Brewer while the girls are on the road. The hockey team will host Kennebec tomorrow night at Colby beginning at 7:30. Both the swim team and indoor track team are on the road tonight as well.

We recognize that the holidays are a stressful time for students and we are committed to making sure that everyone is being taken care of. If you are concerned about your son/daughter and their well being please reach out to their school counselor as they are more than willing to connect with your student.

I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy the holiday festivities this weekend.
