Principal’s Pen: November 18-22
Hello:
This week is a busy one for our drama department as they prepare for their performance of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. There are four opportunities to see this show beginning this Thursday and ending on Sunday with a matinee performance. Showtimes are 7:00 pm for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. While Sunday’s show will begin at 2:00 pm.
The Robotics Team is sponsoring their Holiday Craft Fair this Saturday. This fair is always well attended and it is sure to be huge success again.
We are hoping that we will be able to have 5 full days of school this week. As we near the holiday season we recognize that this can be a very stressful time for students. If they are feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to please let them know that they are always welcome to stop in to the guidance office to see their counselor or if they feel more comfortable speaking with an administrator they should know that our doors are always open.
Our students who operate the Fast Break Cafe did an amazing job presenting at the Superintendent’s Showcase event held last Friday in Augusta. Abbie, Sydney, Alyson, and Jake did a great job explaining to those who visited their table what the cafe was all about. Ms. Madore and Ms. Rancourt also attended the event and offered support to the students. 
The winter sports season begins today with try-outs starting right after school. The student athletes have been preparing for this week running through the hallways and training on their own in preparation for their season starting. We look forward to watching these young men and women as they compete on the track, basketball court, swimming pool, or ice rink. We also have a few students wrestling with Skowhegan. Our math team is practicing on a weekly basis in preparation for their meets. Their season will pick up here in the next week or two. The robotics team continues to work on perfecting their robot and getting ready for their upcoming matches. We wish all teams, both academic as well as athletic, good luck in all their competitions.
