The MHS Empty Bowls dinner is tonight from 5:00 -7:00 pm followed by The Tempest

The purpose of the Empty Bowls project is to raise awareness about food insecurity in our community and raise money for our local food pantries.  Diners can purchase handcrafted pottery bowls, made by students and staff, to use during the dinner and take home as a reminder of the event and what it represents. Tonight’s menu includes homemade soups, salads, breads, and desserts. The cost of the dinner is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. This year’s event also features a silent auction for people to bid on.

Make a night of it by attending the Messalonskee Players production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest at 7:00 pm and a portion of your ticket price will also go to our area food pantries. Tickets for the show are $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and can be purchased at the door.

Don’t miss a fantastic opportunity to get great food, watch amazing theater, and make a difference in our community.
