Principal’s Pen: December 16-25

Thank you are two words that have a meaning larger than life right now. I would like to say thank you to our students who have shown amazing resiliency over the past nine months. They have had to make many adjustments to what should have been a typical year in the life of a teenager. We, as adults, have much to learn from their ability to take things in stride and adjust to the daily adversities that come their way. To the teachers, school counselors, ed techs and support staff I say thank you for keeping the education of our students moving forward. I recognize that this has been a very challenging period of time to be an educator (and yes, everyone assumes the role of an educator during a pandemic) but you have persevered and our students are doing amazing things in your classes. Our custodians, cafeteria workers and bus drivers each have unique responsibilities that keep our students safe and healthy and I thank them for all that they do day in and day out. To the parents of our students I send a big thank you your way. Your continued support of not only your student but the staff as well is very much appreciated. The fact that we have been able to keep our school open over the past four months is a testament to the teamwork that is taking place. And lastly, I would like to thank Mr. Hallett and Mr. McLaughlin for the work they do to support our students.

However you celebrate the holiday I would like to wish you a safe and healthy celebration.
