Principal’s Pen: February 8-12

Happy February Everyone:

We are thrilled to announce that our drama students, along with director, Ethan Wright, will be presenting Tuck Everlasting this Friday, February 12th (7:00 pm), Saturday, February 13th (7:00 pm) and Sunday, February 14th (2:00 pm). All shows will be live streamed on YouTubeLive and the link for watching will be posted on the high school webpage.

We would like to congratulate our January Students of the Month: Freshman Griffin Brown, Sophomore Ruby Marden, Junior Ben Penttila and Senior Emilia Frost. We also would like to recognize those students who attend MMTC and were selected January Students of the Month in their respective programs: Riley Lam, Trevor McFadden, Josh Poulin, Marisa Stuart, and Paige Dudley.

All freshmen, sophomores and juniors have received their course registration forms for the 2021-2022 school year. A copy was emailed to all remote learners as well. The date for handing in these forms in this Friday, February 11th.

Report cards were handed out last week in advisory. We will be mailing out those reports which indicate that a student is either ineligible or on probation.

The sophomore class is selling clothing (sweatshirts and sweatpants). If you are interested in purchasing an item I have attached an order form for you. The deadline for ordering is this Thursday.Order Form Just a reminder to the members of the Sophomore Class it is time to start thinking about paying your class dues ($80.00). Your dues help to cover the cost of your cap/gown, senior t-shirt, and graduation expenses. You can turn your dues into the main office, either by paying cash or writing a check to MHS.

Next week is February Break and I hope everyone is able to enjoy the time off. We have a teacher workshop day this Friday so students will get a jump start on their break.

One last reminder, our Food Pantry is still open. Please feel free to take advantage of the food that has been generously donated by students as well as members of our community.

Enjoy the week

Paula
