Happy Spring Everyone:

We would like to congratulate the following students who were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society: Emmi Pelletier, Michael D’Amico, Riley Lam, Megan Wilson, Halle Turgeon, Nathan Bacon, Paige Dudley, Abbigail Hreben, Kayley Ennis. We also would like to congratulate the following students who were selected as students of the month at MMTC: Brett Haskell (Residential Construction), Syleena Milligan (EMT), Alex Pelotte (IT Support Specialist), Taylor Dumont (Apple Tech & Application Development), Halle Turgeon (Pre-Nursing), Caitlyn Simmons (CTE Academy), Kaylee Ennis (Crime Investigation-Criminology). CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!

For senior parents please put the following dates on your calendar: May 30th-Awards/Scholarships Presentation (all who will be receiving either an award or scholarship will get an invitation), June 1st (senior barbecue and parade), June 3rd (graduation at the ACC-ticket entry only, meaning each graduate will receive 4 tickets). There will be an informational letter sent out the last week in April that outlines all the senior activities and expectations. Please feel free to reach out with questions should you have any.

Students will be on spring break the week of April 19-23. I hope they are able to get some rest and enjoy the down time. As I read in the newspapers that other school districts are having to go remote because of outbreaks I am very grateful that we continue to offer our students five days of in person learning. Lets hope we can keep this momentum going as we head to the finish line.

All juniors, both in person and remote learners, will be participating in the NWEA assessments when we return from break. This is a web based assessment that replaces the traditional SAT assessment that the State used to use as it’s benchmark testing of all juniors. The remote learners should have received an email from me letting them know about this upcoming assessment and how they will be invited into a google meets with their advisor on the morning of April 27th. During this meeting they will receive directions and the password for logging onto the site. We have a second assessment that we need to administer to all juniors and that is the science augmentation test. This is given annually to all third years students. All students must be in person to take this assessment and for remote learners you or your parent should have received an email from Mr. Hallett outlining the expectations around this assessment. If you have yet to receive the email please reach out to Mr. Hallett by phone or email and he will get back to you.

Spring is a very busy time of year and we are anxious to see the spring play performed, our student athletes on the playing fields, and all students ending their school year on a positive note. We continue to thank you for your support.

Enjoy the day

Paula
