Principal’s Pen: September 20-24

Hello

Well, we made it through our first full of school successfully. This Tuesday is an early release day and students will be heading home at noontime. On Thursday, September 23rd we will be walking those students who turned in their flu vaccination forms down to the middle school for the flu clinic. We will make sure that morning MMTC students who have turned in a permission slip are dropped off at MMS on their way back to the high school so they can get the vaccination.

A few of you will be receiving a letter from Ms. Murphy, our school nurse, in the next week that outlines the vaccinations that your son/daughter still need in order to comply with what is required for attending school. The COVID vaccination is not one of those vaccinations. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to her at your convenience.

Just a quick reminder to all the students who ride a bus to and from school or to their classes at MMTC that mask wearing on the bus is a requirement.

I mentioned in the last post that Homecoming Week is October 11-15 and the dance will be held on October 16th. We have made a slight change with the starting time of the dance. Instead of being 8-10 we have moved it to 7-10.  I made an announcement this week letting students know of the change and that the dance will be for MHS students only. This will be an outside dance under a tent that we have rented. We hope that you and your family are able to attend many of the events that will be held during this week.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.

Enjoy the week

Paula
