Principal’s Pen: September 27-October 1
Happy Fall Everyone:
I hope you were able to enjoy what little sun we had over the weekend. There isn’t much news this week but I wanted to share with you a couple of items. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held virtually again this year. The dates are October 6th (3:00-6:30) and October 7th (4:00-7:00). The sign-up portal will be open at 8:00 am on September 29th and will close on October 5th at 8:00 pm. I have added the link for your convenience. On October 13th all freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSATs as well as any junior who has signed up in advance with their school counselor. All other juniors will be taking the NWEAs that day. Once testing is completed we will run a prorated schedule for the remaining time we have. For seniors they will need to complete the attached form as it is not a student day for them. They can either visit a college, job shadow, work on college applications or complete their community service hours. The attached form must be completed by each senior and turned into the main office no later than October 8th. MMTC senior students are not expected to attend on the 13th but may do so if they wish. If you are a parent that drops your son or daughter off in the morning we ask that you pull all the way ahead in the loop out front. We believe this might help with some of the congestion and the time it takes to leave the campus. Overall, we think that the new location for drop-off and pick-up is going quite well.
