MHS Athletics Mask Update – 3/01/2022

Good Morning,
As you know our district has changed our masking policy to reflect one of mask optional.  This is a great move for our district and it was wonderful to see peoples faces at school yesterday.  Other districts are not at the same place we are with this change.  As we move through the end of our winter sports seasons with Hockey and Unified Basketball this will create some changes in masking at games.  We will be playing against schools and venues that will require spectators and players to wear masks at games.  I know this will require some flexibility on our part and we will have to be patient and understanding as we move forward.  This week is an example of that, the teams we are playing against in Unified Basketball require masking, so spectators and players will need to mask at those events.  Our first playoff hockey game will be against a team that has a mask optional policy, so masking will not be required at the game on Wednesday night at 6:00 at the Ice Vault.  Again, masking may change from game to game and we will all need to be flexible aand undestanding about following guidelines and expectations at different venues and at each game as we move on in our season.  We will do our best in the athletic office to keep you updated with these changes as we move forward.  If you have any questions or concerns please let me know in the athletic office, 465-4990.  Thank you for your continued support of our programs and athletes. GO EAGLES!!!
Regards,
Chad Foye
