Messalonskee boys’ basketball team enters the postseason
Riding a seven-game winning streak, including victories over the two top-seeded teams in Class A, the Messalonskee boys’ basketball team enters the postseason as arguably the hottest team in the regional tournament.
The No. 3 Eagles, 14-4, open the playoffs against six-seeded Cony, 7-11, in a quarterfinal matchup at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Messalonskee beat the Rams twice during the regular season, winning by more than a 20-point margin on each occasion.
Those wishing to attend tournament games need to be aware that the Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) is using a cashless admission system – only debit or credit cards can be used.
