Messalonskee High School Celebrates Poetry Month
Several English classes and study hall students at Messalonskee High School enjoyed listening to fellow students and staff read poems of their choice in celebration of poetry month. The students chose poetry from the library’s collection or from online poetry sites. Each reader was rewarded with appreciative snapping of fingers. The students then recorded a first or last line of a favorite poem and pinned it under the Po-e-tree! Many of the students left with poetry collection books in their hands.
