MESSALONSKEE ATHLETICS SUMMER WORKOUT PROGRAM

The athletes and coaches at Messalonskee High School have a unique opportunity
to improve our athletic programs over the summer. The All Sports Boosters has
agreed to fund a summer workout program with AIM Performance and Fitness.
The workouts are designed to improve speed, strength, agility, and injury
prevention. All high school students are eligible to take part in the workouts.
Here is a description of the workouts:
We create specialized in-season and off-season training for scholastic teams from specific
sports or co-ed groups from mixed sports.
We have trained young athletes in basketball, lacrosse, football, hockey, tennis, golf and more.
This is a rare chance for schools, coaches, parents, and students to ensure that their
individual teams or athletes from across departments will become faster, stronger and more
agile while focusing on injury prevention during the critical time between practice and
competition.
Using our experience in Division I and professional athletics, we focus on plyometric exercises
such as sprinting, change of direction, power and game specific movements, decelerating,
squatting, hinging at the hip, pulling and pushing to increase foundational speed, strength
and agility.

The owner and designer of the program has met with students at our school and is
excited to begin the program with our student athletes. I believe improving
strength, agility and speed will help an athlete in any sport that we offer at
Messalonskee and I look forward to seeing how our teams and athletes improve
with the help of this program. The program will run from 11:00-1:00 on the
following days at our school facility.
June- 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29
July- 3, 6, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27

I hope all our athletes and any student at the school takes advantage of this great
opportunity for improved fitness and preparation for the season. Have a great
