Principal’s Pen: October 22-26

Hello All:

Today marks the beginning of our Annual Food Drive. This event is sponsored by Student Council and will run through mid-November. Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable items that will in turn be donated to local food pantries in our district.

There are many important upcoming events and I have listed them below for your convenience. Should you have any questions specific to these activities please do not hesitate to reach out.

Monday, October 29th: Band Concert, 7:00 pm

Wednesday, October 31st: Flu Shot Clinic, permission form is attached in this email Flu Shot Permission Form

Friday, November 2nd: First quarter grades close

Tuesday, November 6th: Picture Re-take Day

Thursday, November 8th: Fall Sports Recognition Night, 6:00 pm

Friday, November 9th: No School for students

Monday, November 12th: No School, Veteran’s Day

Students have inquired as to whether or not they can wear costumes to school on Halloween. The answer is yes with a few restrictions. The costumes must be in good taste and adhere to our dress code policy. No masks or face paint will be permitted as we are asking that their faces be visible. Every year we have some very imaginative outfits and I am sure that the students will not let us down this year.

Although not all our fall athletes have ended their seasons I wanted to personally thank them for their hard work and dedication over the past few months. The hours that they put in and the commitment to their team and school is very admirable.

Enjoy the week

Paula
