Messalonskee Volleyball Moves On
The Messalonskee volleyball team is one step away from playing in a Class B state championship match.
But that next step is a formidable one.
The Eagles, the fourth seed in the tournament, face No. 1 ranked Greely at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Lewiston High School.
Messalonskee fell to Greely in three straight sets when they met during the regular season.
But the Eagles suffered a loss to Yarmouth in regular season play as well only to flip the script last weekend in beating their quarterfinal opponent 3-2.
No. 2 Washington Academy and three-ranked York play in the other semifinal.
