MHS ShineonCass Junior Service Award
The ShineOnCass Foundation was pleased to recently present the 4th Annual Messalonskee High School ShineOnCass Junior Service Award to Isaac Violette. The award is given to one junior at Messalonskee, Winslow, Waterville and Lawrence high schools in recognition of student community service and kindness. As part of the award, Isaac received a monetary gift to pay it forward in any way he chooses to spread kindness in the community.
An honorable mention award was also presented to Ben Hellen.
The ShineOnCass Foundation was created to honor the life of Cassidy Charette, a Messalonskee teenager who tragically died in a hayride accident in 2014. Cassidy’s mother, Monica, presented the award at the Junior Book Awards Assembly on June 7th.
