Principal’s Pen: October 14-18

Good Afternoon:

This is a short Principal’s Pen this week due to the holiday. As mentioned in an earlier post all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be taking the PSATs tomorrow. The testing will take at least half the day (8:00-12:30). We will not be able to call in to classrooms to dismiss students so when planning ahead please note that will we will release students once all students are done. The students will not have access to their phones during the testing period but we will be happy to call them down to the office before they head off to lunch if you wish to have your son/daughter dismissed. All seniors will either be working on college applications, visiting colleges, performing community service, or job shadowing. There is no school for seniors on Wednesday, October 16th. They were to have filled out their planned absence form and returned it to the the main office. We will be accepting the forms on Thursday if they forget to turn it in today.

Thank you to everyone who was able to come in during Parent/Teacher Conferences. If the times didn’t work for you but you would like the chance to meet with your student’s teachers please reach out to them at your convenience. The staff is more than willing to meet with you at a time that is convenient.

Our fall sports season is winding down and for many, who are seniors, this may be the last time they step foot on a field, court, course or trail. We thank the seniors who were members of the cross country, field hockey, football, golf, soccer, and volleyball teams. You have worked very hard to reach your personal goals and beyond.

Enjoy the week

Paula
