Principal’s Pen: January 24-28

Happy Second Semester Everyone:

The new semester will begin tomorrow, January 25th and it is a white day for anyone who has an every other day period 1 class. We hope to have report cards ready to hand out in advisory by the end of the week. Just a reminder that if your son/daughter has earned honor roll recognition we will be posting that list in the Morning Sentinel. If you did not indicate on your student’s emergency card that we could release their name to the newspaper then you will not see them listed in the paper. If you would like to change this permission please call the main office at your convenience or you may send an email to either Denise Caouette or Sarah Dube.

For those students who were unable to take their final exams last week due to being ill they will be able to make up the exam when they return. It will be important for them to connect with their first semester teacher to make arrangements to take the assessment. Until that test is made up there will be a zero reflected in their PowerSchool grade. If any student needs assistance in scheduling the make-up exam they are encouraged to connect with their school counselor or grade level administrator.

Our annual Curriculum Night for the incoming freshmen is being held tomorrow night from 5:00-6:00. However, if you have a question or concern regarding your son or daughter’s schedule for the upcoming school year you are welcome to attend. The format is not set up for individual sessions but more of  a meet and greet type setting. All students will be receiving their course registration forms next week and they are due no later than February 4th. Any student who is uncertain as to what they should sign up for should schedule an appointment with their school counselor during the sign-up week.

Let’s hope for a warm and healthy spring. Enjoy the day.
