Principal’s Pen: May 9-20
Happy May Everyone:
I wanted to get a few important dates out to you that are relevant to the end of the school year. All seniors and their parents should have received a letter, calendar of events as well as the graduation/project graduation contracts from me a couple of weeks ago. If you have misplaced this information please refer to the high school website as we have posted it all there for your convenience.
Saturday, May 21st is the Junior/Senior Prom at the Waterville Elks Club from 8:00-11:00. Tickets are on sale now for $25.00 until next Friday, May 20th. All guest forms must be turned into the main office by noon on May 20th. All guests must be approved prior to purchasing a ticket for them. No one over the age of 20 will be permitted to attend the dance. Finally, all students and their guests must arrive no later than 9:30.
Tuesday, May 17th we have an Early Release Day and all students will be dismissed at 11:30.
Thursday, May 19th all third year students will be taking the NWEA assessment in the morning. Freshmen, Sophomores and Seniors will be participating in a community service activity with their advisor during the morning hours. Any senior who is in need of community service hours should plan to participate in this activity as they will be able to earn 3.5 hours. In the afternoon we will be having our annual Spring Fling Day with lots of fun activities planned.
Tuesday, May 24th all third year students will be taking part in the State Science assessment. All other grade levels will be attending classes.
Monday, May 30th there is no school as that is Memorial Day.
In the next week or two I will post the end of the year schedule for the underclassmen. The last day of school for students in grades 9, 10, and 11 is June 16th and that will be a half day.
I hope you all are able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.
Enjoy the day
