Principal’s Pen: September 26-30
Hello Everyone:
As we look to next month I wanted to share some important dates with you. Homecoming 2022 will begin with the parade on Monday, October 3rd at 6:00 pm. The route will take students and floats down Oak Street to Main Street and back to the high school using the access road. We have many athletic events scheduled throughout the week that we invite you to attend. Capping of the week will be the Homecoming dance for MHS students and their guests. The dance will run from 8:00 pm-10:30 pm. Those students who intend to invite a guest can swing by the main office to pick up the guest form that needs to be filled out and returned to Mr. McLaughlin by noontime on Wednesday, October 5th.
Parent/Teacher conferences will take place on October 5th (3:00-6:30) and October 6th (4:00-7:00). The link you will use to sign up for conferences will open on Tuesday, September 27th at 8am and close on Monday, October 3rd at 8pm. I have attached the link for your convenience and we will post it on the high school website. https://www.signupgenius.com/tabs/23673dc06a1ceecc06-ptconferences You will once again have the option of meeting in person or via google meets. Should you have any questions or trouble getting into the link please reach out to Cassie Marden in our guidance office and she will be more than happy to help you out.
Many of you have signed up your daughter or son for the flu clinic being held at the high school on September 27th. Please remind them that you have signed them up for this clinic as we have run into a few situations where students were unaware of their appointment.
If you are unable to make this evening’s presentation, Navigating College, hosted by our school counselors please feel free to reach out to your student’s counselor and set up a time to meet with them. They are more than willing to work with students and parents on post-secondary planning.
Enjoy the week
Paula
