Principal’s Pen: October 10-14
Happy Fall Everyone:
This week’s post will be brief but informational as there are a couple of important dates that you need to be aware of.
Monday, October 10th: No School
Wednesday, October 12th: There is no school for seniors only on this day. The expectation is that they will work on completing their community service requirement, work on their post-secondary plans, or participate in a job shadowing experience. The freshmen and sophomores will be taking the NWEA assessment in the morning and attending classes in the afternoon. The juniors will be taking the PSAT assessment in the morning and attending classes in the afternoon. In previous years students had the option of opting out of these assessments but that is no longer the case. For any student who is absent on testing day we will schedule a make-up day. Attendance at MMTC will be excused for the 12th.
We are at the mid-way point of the first quarter. If you were unable to schedule a conference with your student’s teachers please feel free to reach out to them either by email or phone to set up a time to meet. First quarter grades will close on November 1st.
I hope you are able to find time to enjoy the beautiful weather and all that Maine has to offer.
Enjoy the day
Paula
