We have many exciting things happening at MHS. Most recently our students who attend MMTC competed against their peers from Waterville, Winslow, and Lawrence in the local skills competition. As you will see listed below MHS students did very well in their respective programs. Those earning gold medals will compete in the State SkillsUSA Championship in Bangor on March 17th.

We also had the following students, MHS Jazz ensemble, perform at District IV Jazz Festival on February 15th. The ensemble received a score of 91 out of 100 which earned them a silver rating. Congratulations to the following performers:
Students are anxiously awaiting February break, which begins on February 18th. We have begun the scheduling process for the upcoming school year and students should be turning in their course registration forms by the end of school tomorrow (Friday, February 17th).
If you are a parent of a senior and would like to help out with Project Graduation there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00 pm in the library. Many of you who are parents of seniors have asked about upcoming events. You will be receiving a detailed calendar with all the senior activities listed in mid-April. If you have additional questions that are not answered on the calendar and letter that you will receive please reach out anytime.
The Junior Class will be holding the annual auction on Saturday, March 18th. Doors will open at 5:00 pm, dinner will be from 5:30-6:30 and the live auction will start at 6:30. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the junior class and the cost is $10.00.
Upcoming dates that are important: March 7th is an Early Release Day and March 17th is a non-student day.
