Principal’s Pen: Spring Edition
Hello and Welcome to Spring!
The year is winding down and there is a lot of excitement at MHS. The seniors are anxiously awaiting their week of celebration (please see the attached calendar of events. Our annual parade through town will take place on Monday, June 5th. The underclassmen will be taking part in the NWEA and State Science Assessments on May 17th and 23rd. All students in grades 9-11 will need to be present on these two dates to avoid having to take the make-up assessment.
Spring Fling will be on May 23rd following testing and the Student Council will be sponsoring activities for all students to take part in. Let’s hope the weather will cooperate. If anyone needs community service hours there will be an opportunity during Spring Fling to complete a few hours.
Prom tickets are on sale and may be purchased during lunch time. Any student who is planning to bring a guest from another school must have their guest’s permission slip turned into the main office by 12:30 on May 17th. The dance is May 20th at the Waterville Elks Club from 8:00-11:00. All who are attending must be at the dance no later than 9:30.
There is an early release day on Tuesday, May 16th. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 and buses will be transporting students home beginning at noon.
Please keep checking the school’s webpage for daily updates. We will be posting the final exam schedule for the underclassmen soon and you will be able to access it from the webpage.
And finally the last day of school for those in grades 9-11 is June 15th which is a half day.
